Bulldogs Win Girls Golf Championship, T-town Nabs Victory

The Effingham St. Anthony girls golf team captured the championship of athe Alton Marquette Blastoff Tournament Saturday.

Scoring were Clare McHugh with an 85, Macy Ludwig with an 87, Ava Wegman with an 88 and Morgan Schuette with a 98. Non-scorers were Reagan Westendorf with a 106 and Jessica Coffin with a 110.

St.  Anthony tallied a team total of 358 followed by Highland 374, Marquette Catholic 380, Effingham 385, Auburn 387, Alton 388, Pittsfield 393, Camp Point 407, Bethalto Civic Memorial 410, Collinsville 426, MCHS 450, Carrollton 458, Granite City 462 and Carrollton 556.

 

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis scored its second win of the season in girls golf action Friday.

The Wooden Shoes had 195 total followed by Hillsboro 238.

Medalist was T-town's Maddie Hoene with a 43. Other scorers included Mattie Thoele 49, Averie Bushue 51 and Alison Will 52. Non-counting scores were Allie Niebrugge 55, Macy Vogt 59 and Maggie Koester 62.
