EHS Nabs Golf Match, St. A Second in Triangular

Effingham High School played host to Teutopolis in girls golf competition at the Effingham Country Club Wednesday and took a 204-230 victory.

Alex Brummer was medalist for the Hearts with a 47. Also scoring were Abbi Burgess 49, Keira Hirtzel 52 and Kennedy Collier 56. Non-counting scores were Jade Depoister 57, Lindsey Stephenson 59 and Jaelyn Boone 65.

Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Madeline Hoene 53, Madison Magee 55, Allie Niebrugge 58 and Macy Vogt 64. Non-counting scores were Mattie Thoele 71 and Maggie Koester 72.

 

At Charleston

Effingham St. Anthony took second in a triangular girls golf match Tuesday.

Charleston won with 180 followed by St. Anthony 185 and Mattoon 201. Medalist was Charleston's Lauren Chappell with a 35.

Also scoring for the Trojans were Ally O'Dell 44, Aislinn Parish 45 and Paige Chappell 46. Non-scorers were Haley Walker 48, Jenna Durham 50 and Abby Logsdon 60.

St. Anthony was led by Abbie Schmidt with a 43 followed by Ava Wegman 44, Clare McHugh 47 and Regan Koester 51. Non-counters were Jessica Coffin 56 and Abby Repking 62.

Mattoon was led by Kira Wolf with a 40 followed by Cassi Dow 46, Natalie Zimmer 55 and Hannah Retzer 60. Non-scorers were Carson Gordon 62 and Haleigh Miller 64.
