EHS Girls Seventh at State Golf Preview

Effingham High School finished seventh out of 14 teams in the State Girls Golf Preview at Red Tail Run Golf Course in Decatur Saturday.

Winning was Alton Marquette with 369 followed by Normal U-High 388, Bloomington Central Catholic 390, Mount Carmel 400, Monticello 404,  Morton 408, Effingham 408, Mattoon 410, Champaign Central 418, Rochester 422, Quincy Notre Dame 424, Williamsville 428, Bradley-Bourbonnais 461 and Lincoln 464.

Effingham's Alex Brummer finished fourth overall with an 83. Medalist was Champaign Central's Mia Hayasaki with an 80. Second went to Mattoon's Kira Wolf with an 81. Megan Makuta of Morton took third with an 83.

Others scoring for the Hearts were Abbi Burgess who was 21st with 99, Keira Hirtzel who was 37th with 110 and Jade Depoister who was 45th with 116.
