The St. Anthony Bulldogs boys golf team completed its regular season by claiming
two victories in a triangular match held at Stone Creek Golf Course, Urbana Monday. The Bulldogs fired a 160 in very breezy conditions to defeat Bloomington Central Catholic (166) and Champaign St. Thomas More (182).

Senior Cole Buehnerkemper fired an impressive even par 36 to take medalist honors.

“It’s always nice to end the season on a high note,” said Coach Phil Zaccari, “Stone
Creek is not an easy course especially when the wind is blowing. Our team adjusted enough to
take the victory. Cole has really been playing well lately and that is great to see as we head into post-season. We are going to need everyone clicking for us to achieve our goal and Cole has really turned it up a notch.

As a team, our short game was not impressive tonight. We still need to be more consistent so we will work on that to be ready for regionals next Tuesday."

Also scoring for the Bulldogs were Joe Powell 39, Connor Greene 42 and Dalton Anderson 43.
