T-town Graduate Competes For KC Golf Team

The Kaskaskia Blue Angels won the Illinois College Invitational held over the Labor Day Weekend in Jacksonville.

Freshman Lacy McTall led the KC women's golf team to a first place finish playing in her first college tournament. McTall's two day total of 168 was best among all scorers earning her medalist honors. KC's Casey Willenborg, a Teutopolis graduate, was second among all scorers with a two day total of 171.

As a team the Blue Angels' score of 735 bested Monmouth College by one stroke. Illinois College was third and Millikin University finished fourth. Also scoring for KC was Teri Hartmann (Red Bud), Jessica Weihe (Nashville) and Bethany Kunick (Sandoval). The KC golfers are coached by Jay Garrett.
