CHARLESTON -- Charleston High School captured its own 12-team nine-hole girls golf scramble Thursday at the Charleston Country Club.

The Charleston Red squad finished with a 71. Lauren Chappell and Alley O'Dell were the top two finishers with a combined 3-under 33.

Salem captured second place over Effingham with an 80 after winning a scorecard playoff. The Hearts took third, also with an 80.

Members of the EHS squad scoring were Hope Collier-Alex Brummer, who tied for second with a 38, Keira Hirtzel-Abbi Burgess with a 42 and Kaylee Tonn-Lindsey Stephenson with a 54.
