Jordan Niebrugge is still within striking distance of the lead at his halfway point of The Open championship at St. Andrews, Scotland.

The 21-year-old Niebrugge, whose grandparents live in the Teutopolis community, shot a one-over 73 Friday, but remains at four-under for the tournament, five shots off the early Saturday lead.

The tournament has been plagued by torrential rains and then 40MPH winds that called a halt to play. It's hoped that most players will get their third rounds completed Saturday with the final round on Sunday.
