Wooden Shoes Win Boys Golf Match, Third in Girls Contest

Teutopolis High School played host to both boys and girls golf matches Monday at the Effingham Country Club.

In the boys meet, Teutopolis scored a 180 followed by Altamont 206 and Windsor 239. Scoring for the Wooden Shoes were Christian Deters 42, Dylan Buenker 44, Braden Bushue 47 and Matt Weber 47. Non-counters were Keegan Meyer and Will Schlink with a 50 each.

Leading Altamont were Adam Mayhaus 45, Logan Deadmond 50, Dylan Miller 53 and Cameron Jackman 58. Luke Behl added a 58 and Noah Kopplin a 61. Altamont JV scores were Robert Davis 63 and Austin Wendling 68.

Scoring for Windsor were Tristan Warner 49, Zach Van Hyfte 61, Katie Greuel 62 and Noah Boyer 67. Non-counters were Sterling Howard 68 and Anthony Curry 69.

Medalist for the event was Neoga's Luke Baker with a 38.

In the girls meet, Mattoon tallied 201 followed by Salem 209 and T-town 226. The Green Wave improved their record to 7-1 on the season. Katie Holsapple and Taylor Beason shot a 47 each.

Scoring for T-town were Casey Willenborg 44, Ellie Ruholl 57, Madison Magee 62 and Katie Thoele 63.

The medalist for the event was Salem's Megan Gallatin with a 43.
