Rams Banged Up Ahead Of 49ers Game

(Earth City, MO) -- The Rams are without three players at present who must pass the NFL's concussion protocol after suffering head injuries against Chicago last game. Running back Zac Stacy, cornerback Trumaine Johnson and left guard Chris Williams hope to be cleared to play by the end of the week. St. Louis heads to San Francisco to take on the 49ers Sunday.

 

Cutler Not Opposed To Franchise Tag

(Chicago, IL) -- Bears quarterback Jay Cutler says he's willing to take the team's franchise tag this offseason. Speaking on "The Jay Cutler Show" on ESPN 1000, Cutler says it wouldn't be a personal decision, just business. Cutler makes nearly 8 1/2 million this year, the last of his contract.

 

Bears Get Back To Work

(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears get back on the practice field today to prepare for Sunday's game against the Vikings in Minnesota. Chicago earned a one-point win over the Vikes back in Week Two. The Bears are currently tied with the Lions atop the NFC North, with Green Bay a half-game back.

 

Illinois, Northwestern Prepare To Meet

Illinois and Northwestern are gearing up to meet on the football field Saturday in Champaign. The Fighting Illini are just 4-7 with a 1-6 Big Ten mark. The Wildcats sit at 4-7 and are winless in the Big Ten at 0-7.

Missouri has a tough test Saturday against Texas A&M. The Tigers are ranked fifth at 10-1 on the season.  The Aggies are 8-3 and ranked 21.
