Effingham's junior varsity football squad traveled to Breese on Labor Day and suffered a 30-0 loss.

Breese jumped out to a 14 point lead after the first quarter and then added another score right before half to lead 22-0. However the young Hearts played much better in the second half, by holding Breese scoreless in the third and gave up a late score for the final difference.
