EHS Media Day, Buckbowl Scheduled Saturday, August 24

Effingham High School Fall Sports Press Day is Saturday, August 24. All photographs will be taken at the EHS Klosterman Field. In case of poor weather, photos will be taken in the B Gym.

The schedule includes: 8 a.m. -- Boys golf, 8:15 a.m. -- Girls golf, 8:25 a.m. -- Cheerleaders, varsity and junior varsity, 8:35 a.m. -- Freshman volleyball, 8:45 a.m. -- Junior varsity volleyball, 9 a.m. -- Varsity volleyball, 9:15 a.m. -- Girls tennis, 9:20 a.m. -- Girls cross country, 9:30 a.m. -- Boys cross country, 9:40 a.m. -- Freshman football, 10 a.m. -- Sophomore football, 10:20 a.m. -- Varsity football, 10:45 a.m. -- Co-ed fall soccer.

There will be a presentation of the football teams at the Buckbowl at Effingham High School on Klosterman Field. The event begins at 5 p.m. and runs through 7:10 p.m. Admission is $2 per person or $5 per family with the proceeds going to help support the Football Moms.

The schedule includes: 5-8 p.m. -- Football Mom's Concession Stand with pizza, hot dogs, chips, nachos, cookies, candy and soft drinks; 5:15 p.m. -- Football team warmup, 6 p.m. -- Introduction of cheerleaders with sponsor April Karpus; 6:10 p.m. -- Introduction of freshman football staff and players and introduction of sophomore football staff and players; 6:30 p.m. -- Freshman offense vs. Sophomore defense, one 15 minute continuous clock quarter; 6:45 p.m. -- Freshman defense vs. Sophomore offense, one 15 minute continuous clock quarter; 7 p.m. -- Introduction of football staff with head coach Mike McDonald, introduction of junior and senior football players; 7:10 p.m. -- Varsity scrimmage, three 10 minute continuous clock quarters.
