(Bellefonte, PA) -- The NCAA is asking a judge to dismiss a lawsuit by the Paterno family that challenges the Jerry Sandusky-related penalties against Penn State and its football team. The family of late coach Joe Paterno and five members of the school's board of trustees sued in May, claiming the NCAA interfered with and mishandled a criminal matter outside of its authority. The family wants to void a consent decree between the NCAA and Penn State, but the NCAA argues the Paterno family has no standing to do so.
