Sports A Big Part of the Lohman Grandchildren

John Hart took his Brownsburg, Indiana High School football team to State this season finishing in regional action. In Indiana it's sectional play first and regional second instead of regional then sectional in Illinois.

Hart is married to Janet Lohman, the daughter of Norbert and Bernice Lohman of Teutopolis.

Hart has had a successful 36-year career in football and has a 307-94 record.

He and his wife have four children and two of those children, Nick and Derek are head football coaches.

Nick is the head coach at Gibson Southern in Indiana while Derek is the head coach at Kankakee in Illinois. Kankakee will be playing for the Class 5A State championship Saturday against Oak Park Fenwick at DeKalb Huskie Stadium in Illinois while Gibson Southern is in the State finals in Indiana Friday and will take on Brebeuf.

Hart's other two children and grandchildren of the Lohmans, Brittany is a head girls basketball coach at Princeton while Kristen is the head volleyball coach at Owen Valley.
