Illini Spring Game Tonight

(Champaign, IL) -- The annual Orange and Blue Spring Game is tonight at 8 at Memorial Stadium. Parking is free and gates open one hour prior to kickoff  The intrasquad game can be seen on the Ben Ten Network  Reilly O'Toole is on the Orange roster while fellow quarterback Nathan Scheelhaase is on the Blue roster.

 

Former WR Hurd Pleads Guilty

Former Chicago Bears and Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Sam Hurd reportedly pleaded guilty Thursday in federal court for trying to buy cocaine and marijuana in an attempt to setup a drug-distribution network. The "Dallas Morning News" says the 27-year-old faces a minimum 10-year sentence for conspiracy to possess cocaine and marijuana with an intent to distribute. He was originally arrested in December 2011, while a member of the Bears, after allegedly accepting a kilogram of cocaine from an undercover police officer.

 

Paper Stands By Sherman's Adderall Quote

(Vancouver, British Columbia) -- The "Vancouver Sun" is sticking by its story in which Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman is quoted as saying about half the league takes the prescription drug Adderall. Sherman claims he was misquoted, but the reporter provided a transcript of his interview to Pro Football Talk. Sherman says about 50-percent of players use the ADD drug. Players are suspended for testing positive without a prescription.
