The New York Jets traded quarterback Sam Darnold to the Carolina Panthers Monday for three draft picks, a sixth-round pick in the 2021 draft later this month and a second-rounder and fourth-rounder in 2022.

They are expected to get a replacement for Darnold with their Number 2 overall pick in the April 29 draft. The 23-year-old Darnold, who was the Number 3 overall draft pick in 2018, failed to live up to high expectations for him.

Vikings' Gladney Turns Himself In

Minnesota Vikings cornerback Jeff Gladney turned himself in to police in Dallas Monday on an assault charge.

The 24-year-old allegedly assaulted a 22-year-old woman during an argument over content in a cell phone.

The Vikings said in a statement, “We are aware of Jeff's arrest and are gathering additional information.” The Vikings took Gladney as a first-round pick last year.
