Ravens' Jackson Breaks Rushing Record

The Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson broke Michael Vick's single-season rushing record for a quarterback Thursday night. Jackson entered the game needing just 23 yards to break Vick's mark of 1,039 and did it on the first drive when he gained 27. 

 

Retired NFL Players Accused of Defraud

A number of retired NFL players, including Clinton Portis, are being accused of defrauding the league and stealing money from its healthcare program. The Department of Justice says Portis and nine other ex-players made up fake claims and were reimbursed. Portis and the others face up to 20 years behind bars if convicted.

 

Burrow Wins Awards

Heisman Trophy favorite Joe Burrow won the Maxwell and Davey O'Brien awards Thursday night, which are given to the best overall player and best quarterback in college football. The Heisman Trophy will be presented tomorrow night.

 

Former NBA Commissioner Undergoes Surgery

Former NBA commissioner David Stern underwent emergency surgery Thursday in New York after suffering a brain hemorrhage. There was no immediate word on his condition.
