A remarkable number of Effingham High School football records have fallen in the past three seasons.

Our Dustin White has been doing additional research. He finds that in addition to the single season passing yards record we mentioned earlier this week, Hearts quarterback Nathan Shackelford now has the single season touchdown passes record, and the single season combined passing/rushing yardage record.

Shackelford now has 30 touchdown passes in 11 games this season. Landon Wolfe set the previous record of 26 last season.

Curran McNeely had 2,566 combined rushing and passing yards in 10 games in 2007. Shackelford now stands at 3,031 yards in 11 games this season.
