NFL Suspends Titans' Taylor Lewan

The NFL has suspended Tennessee Titans left tackle Taylor Lewan for four games for violating the league's policy against performance-enhancing substances. Lewan addressed the suspension on video, saying he passed a lie detector test in which he denied knowingly taking the substance in question.

The Tennessee Titans and Kevin Byard have agreed to a five-year, $70.5 million contract extension. The deal includes $31 million in guarantees and makes Byard the highest-paid safety in NFL history.


Green Bay Releases Mike Daniels

In a surprise move, the Green Bay Packers have released former Pro Bowl defensive tackle Mike Daniels. Daniels now becomes a free agent and is hoping to sign with a Super-Bowl contender.


Seahawks Sign Earl Mitchell

The Seattle Seahawks have signed tackle Earl Mitchell. The signing comes two days after Jarran Reed was suspended six games for violating the league's personal conduct policy.


Buc's Play Pierre-Paul On Injury List

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have placed Jason Pierre-Paul on the active/non-football injury list. Pierre-Paul suffered a neck fracture in a car crash in May and his status for the upcoming season remains uncertain.
