Another of the senior class members of the highly successful 2018 Effingham Hearts football team has signed to play college football.

Jason Bowlin, the center for the Hearts, Thursday signed to play for Millikin University in Decatur. Bowlin said he plans to major in Engineering and minor in Criminal Justice.

As to why he decided on Millikin, Bowlin said he wanted to stay closer to home to see his mom and sister, and to Effingham so he could stay in touch with his Hearts' football family.

He said the brotherhood of football is what he enjoys most about the sport.

Greg Sapp spoke with Jason following his signing Thursday...

Hearts Coach Brett Hefner said Bowlin's talent and football intelligence will be keys to him having success at the collegiate level.
