Washburn University Players Victims Of Shooting

Two Washburn University football players were victims in an off-campus shooting early Sunday morning. Junior defensive back Dwane Simmons was killed and cornerback Corey Ballentine was injured. The shooting took place just hours after Ballentine was selected by the New York Giants in the sixth round of the NFL Draft.


Janikowski Retiring After 19 Years

Kicker Sebastian Janikowski says he’s retiring after 19 seasons in the NFL. Janikowski spent his entire career with the Raiders before signing a one-year deal with the Seahawks last year.
