Here's a recap on how Top 10 teams in the region fared in Week 6 of the high school football season.

In Class 5A, #4 Highland improved to 6-0 with a 47-0 win over Bethalto Civic Memorial.

In Class 4A, #2 Rochester is now 5-1 after a 70-20 thrashing of Decatur Eisenhower. #3 Taylorville is now 6-0 after downing Alton Marquette in a Saturday game 47-14. The Tornadoes lead the Apollo Conference. Breese Mater Dei, tied for #6 in the rankings, improved to 6-0 with a 42-14 win over Quincy Notre Dame. #10 Cahokia blasted Centralia 53-0.

In Class 3A, #8 Vandalia is now 6-0 following a 46-12 win over Staunton.

In Class 2A, #9 Pana improved to 5-1 with a 42-20 win over Hillsboro.

In Class 1A, #4 Tuscola beat Sullivan-Okaw Valley-Bethany 61-0.
