Bears Pound Tampa Bay, 48-10

The Chicago Bears showed some offense Sunday with some record-breaking performances in routing Tampa Bay, 48-10.

Quarterback Mitchell Trubisky nailed six touchdown passes, tying for second with the most in Bears History behind Sid Luckman's seven in 1943. Trubisky pushed the Bears into a 38-3 halftime lead and became the firs player in franchise history to throw five touchdown passes in a half.

He nailed 14 of 18 passes for 289 yards in the first two periods. The lead went to 45-3 at the start of the second half and it was all over. He finished with 19 of 26 passes for 354 yards.


Colts' Vinatieri Kicks 566th Field Goal

Indianapolis Colts kicker Adam Vinatieri passed Hall of Famer Morten Andersen for the most field goals in NFL history, kicking his 566th during Sunday’s game against Houston.


Seahawks' Thomas Fractures Left Leg

Seattle Seahawks free safety Earl Thomas fractured his lower left leg during Sunday’s win over the Arizona Cardinals. Thomas had held out all offseason over his contract situation and appeared to give the middle finger towards Seattle's sideline as he was being taken into the locker room.

 

Alabama, George Atop AP Poll

The Associated Press college football poll once again has Alabama and Georgia on top. However, behind them, Ohio State moved past Clemson into third, with the Tigers slipping to fourth and LSU rounding out the top five.
