Effingham High School senior Jordan McCabe has signed a letter of intent to play college football at Illinois College in Jacksonville.

McCabe was recruited to play safety for the Blueboys, the same position he played for the Hearts his senior season. He said he was very impressed by the family atmosphere he experienced during a visit to the Jacksonville campus, similar to what he enjoyed at EHS.

McCabe plans to major in Criminal Justice, with goals of becoming a detective or state trooper.
