BRENTWOOD, Tenn. -- Eastern Illinois University junior place kicker Cameron Berra was named the Ohio Valley Conference Special Teams Player of the Week following the Panthers 31-28 win over Jacksonville State.  It was the second time this year Berra has won the honor.

Berra was 4-of-4 on extra points and converted his only field goal attempt knocking home a 43-yarder as time expired in the first half.  The field goal gave EIU a 17-14 lead at the half and proved to be the difference in score.  For the season Berra is 6-of-6 on field goals with three made over 40 yards.  Berra is only one of four kickers in the FCS that have not missed this year with six or more field goal attempts.  The field goal was the 21st of Berra's career moving him into sixth on the EIU career list.

The Panthers (4-3 overall, 3-1 OVC) will be off this weekend and then return to action Saturday, Oct. 27 at Eastern Kentucky.  That game will be televised on FOX College Sports with an 11 a.m. (Central kickoff).
