Lindenwood University in Belleville is having a good inaugural football season and an Effingham High School graduate is a part of the success.

Nathaniel Boggs is a member of the offensive line for the Lynx and has helped them to a 3-2 start to their first season.

Lindenwood won its inaugural game over Avila University 43-37 in the first game at Lindenwood Stadium.

The Lynx went on the road and lost to Oklahoma Panhandle State University 30-23, but bounced back to win at Iowa Wesleyan 35-28.

Lindenwood suffered its toughest loss to date on September 22 when they were defeated at home by Robert Morris University at 45-6, but the Lynx again bounced back last Saturday to defeat Central Methodist University 23-20.

The Lynx head to Lawrence, Kansas this Saturday to take on Haskell Indian Nations University.  They then travel to Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro on October 13 and to Canton, Missouri on the 20th to match up against Culver-Stockton College.

Lindenwood will play its last two regular season games at home; October 27 against Valley City State University and November 10 against St. Francis, Indiana.

Nate is a freshman at Lindenwood.  In addition to playing for state playoff qualifiers each season of his football career at EHS, he also reached the finals of the state track and field meet during his sophomore and senior years.
