EHS JV Squad Runs Record To 5-0

PARIS -- Effingham High School ran it's junior vasrity football record to 5-0 with a 33-0 victory on the road at Paris.

Effingham's defense produced another three turnovers, scoring on two of them. Peyton Bushue striped the ball from a Paris ball carrier and ran 35 yards for a touchdown. Brandon Loy intercepted a pass in the second half and returned it for a touchdown.

The offense wasn't as sharp as it had been, but it was balance with 105 yards through the air and 170 on the ground with Zach Miller picking up two touchdowns on the ground along with 88 yards on six carries. Peyton Bushue accounted for a score on offense as well with one catch for 49 yards and a touchdown.

Effingham returns to action next Monday at home against Mattoon.
