Illinois Falls To Iowa, 30-14

(Champaign, IL)  --  Wes Lunt and Reilly O'Toole each threw a touchdown as Illinois lost 30-14 to Iowa on Saturday. The Fighting Illini fell to 4-6 and 1-5 in the Big Ten.  The Illini meet Penn State Saturday.

Eastern Illinois Falls Short

(Jacksonville, Ala.) -- Eastern Illinois saw its drive for a third straight Ohio Valley Conference title fall short on Saturday as the Panthers lost, 27-20, at No. 3 Jacksonville State.

EIU had the ball with 2:09 to play at its own 41-yard line, needing a touchdown to tie the game, but a defensive stand by the Gamecocks saw the Panthers turn the ball over on downs.

EIU fell to 5-6, 5-2 in the OVC. The Panthers host UT Martin for Senior Day Saturday at noon at O'Brien Field. JSU won the outright OVC title improving to 9-1, 7-0 in the OVC.

Northwestern Shocks Notre Dame

(South Bend, IN) -- Northwestern rallied from an 11-point deficit late in regulation and pulled off a stunning 43-40 overtime win over Notre Dame on Saturday  Notre Dame committed four turnovers en route to falling to 7-3 with their second straight loss. Jack Mitchell's 41-yarder in OT ended 4-6 Northwestern's four-game losing streak.
