Illini Rally Past Western Kentucky

(Champaign, IL) -- Wes Lunt threw for 456 yards with three touchdowns and an interception as Illinois rallied for a 42-34 win over Western Kentucky Saturday at Memorial Stadium. The Fighting Illini improved to 2-0 despite trailing entering the fourth. Illinois travels to play Washington this weekend.

Northern Illinois upended Northwestern 23-15 Saturday at Ryan Field. The 2-0 Huskies travel to face UNLV this weekend while the Wildcats fell to 0-2 and will host Western Illinois September 20.

Meantime, Notre Dame blanked Michigan 31-0 in South Bend.
