Bears Cut Bennett

(Lake Forest, IL) -- The Bears terminated the contract of veteran wide receiver Earl Bennett Tuesday. Bennett, who's spent his entire six-year career with Chicago, appeared in 15 games last season and hauled in 32 passes for 243 yards and four touchdowns. He has 185 receptions for 2,277 yards and 12 TDs in his career.

The Bears agreed to terms on a one-year contract with defensive lineman Israel Idonije. Idonije played nine years with the Bears before moving to the Lions last season. In a reserve role, he recorded 11 tackles and a half-sack for Detroit in 2013.

 

Rams Bring In QB Hill For Visit

(St. Louis, MO) -- The Rams are interested in Shaun Hill to be their backup quarterback. The 34-year-old free agent visited Rams Park this week. Hill spent the last four seasons backing up Matthew Stafford in Detroit. Previous Rams backup Kellen Clemens signed with the Chargers last week.
