Effingham faced Altamont and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City Tuesday at Ballard Nature Center.

In the boys meet, EHS won with 24 followed by Altamont 45 and Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 69.

Effingham's Andrew Donaldson won with a time of 18:41 followed by Garrett Wagner fourth n 19:43, Tucker Moeller fifth in 20:13, Jon Perry sixth in 20:25 and Dane Seiler eighth in 21:14.

Scoring for Altamont were Derick Budde second in 19:23, Corey Jackson third in 19:37, Jerod Ruffner 10th in 22:07, Braden Grunloh 12th in 22:43 and Matthew Becker 18th in 25:13.

Scoring for CHBC were Kenny Robbins seventh in 20:52, Zander Merrifield 14th in 23:35, Jackson Sarver 15th in 23:47, Jason Vaylis 16th in 24:07 and Beau Doedtman 17th in 24:26.

In the girls meet only Effingham had enough runners for a team score. The Hearts had 23 points. EHS was led by Kiley Weaver first in 22:07, Marah Kirk third in 25:04, Kayleigh Koester fifth in 26:51, Nicole Schniederjon sixth in 27:07 and Daelyn Dunston eighth in 27:47.

CHBC's top finisher was Sydney Lorton second in 24:16. Altamont's top finisher was Brooke Runge fourth in 26:35.
