Bulldogs Second at Shelbyville Trails Invite

SHELBYVILLE -- Effingham St. Anthony High School took second place in the Shelbyville Trails Boys Cross Country Invitational Saturday while Effingham was third.

Marshall won the meet with 61 points followed by St. Anthony 72, Effingham 101, Tuscola 119, Cumberland 135, Shelbyville 140, Sullivan 197, Altamont 228, Neoga 231, Central A&M 248, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 271, Tri-County 273 and Pana 298

St. Anthony's Brian Dust claimed first place with a time of 16:04. Effingham's Alfredo Lopez took second in 16:45. Neoga's Braden Cox finished third in 16:54 and Marshall took the fourth and fifth spots as Dylan Stillwell finished in 16:54.8 and Ben Ross in 17:07.

In the girls race, Marshall won with 25 points followed by Shelbyville 35, Tuscola 90 and Neoga 91.

Shelbyville captured the top two spots as Ailey Mtichell won in 18:25 and Gabrielle Spain took second in 18:56. Marshall captured the next three spots. Cumberland's Jasmyn Dittamore was sixth.
