T-town Girls Take Second, Boys Fourth at Carlinville Invite

CARLINVILLE -- Teutopolis High School captured second in the Carlinville Invitational girls cross country meet and fourth in the boys contest Wednesday evening.

In the girls meet, Breese Mater Dei won with 62 points followed by Teutopolis 70, Staunton 79, Litchfield 115, Roxana 144, Pittsfield 150, Carlinville 161, Breese Central 166, Rochester 208, Piasa Southwestern 261 and Edwardsville Metro-East Lutheran 296.

Staunton's Lydia Roller claimed the individual championship with a time of 18:20.18.

T-town's Kara Weichman was sixth in 20:09.93 while Jessica Runde took eighth in 20:16.90. Other Wooden Shoe scorers were Rebecca Habing 12th in 20:28.43, Jenelle Vogt 45th in 22:48.96 and Micah McWhorter 63rd in 24:09.58. Non-scorer was Ashley Bresendorf 66th in 24:30.65.

In the boys meet, Carlinville was the team champion with 54 points followed by Glen Carbon Father McGivney 73, Breese Mater Dei 73, Teutopolis 110, Rochester 127, Roxana 155, Litchfield 165, Breese Central 224, Piasa Southwestern 59, East Alton-Wood River 297, Staunton 302, Bement 340, Edwardsville Metro-East Lutheran 348 and Alton Marquette Catholic 377.

Winning the individual title was Luke Goebel of Breese Mater Dei in 15:15.34.

Scoring for T-town were Noah Probst ninth in 16:49.43, Jordan Schumacher 19th in 17:16.05, Ethan Weidner 24th in 17:43.34, Jacob Schmidt 32nd in 18:00.05 and Brody Mette 36th in 18:20.62. Non-scorers were Jack Waldhoff 60th in 19:06.27, Cole Probst 68th in 19:22.43, Benjamin Kitten 80th in 19:36.37, Matthew Deters 87th in 20:00.62, Evan Blievernicht 93rd in 20:15.43 and Kendall Tabbert 11th in 21:38.49
