Shelbyville won both the boys and girls Cumberland Cross Country Junior High Invitationals Saturday.

Shelbyville claimed the girls race with 20 points followed by Charleston 81, St. Anthony/Sacred Heart 85, Jasper County 101, Robinson 140, Effingham 154, Okaw Valley 182 and Cumberland 197.

Shelbyville's Gabrielle Spain finished first with a time of 12:39.72. St. Anthony/Sacred Heart's Riley Guy finished third in 13:31.96. Effingham's Marah Kirk took fifth in 13:46.90. Jasper County's Rylea Borgic and Alexis Hetzer finished ninth and 10th respectively in 14:28.62 and 14:42.78.

In the boys meet, Shelbyville was a winner with 29 points followed by St. Anthony/Sacred Heart 49, Charleston 63, Robinson 137, Jasper County 166, Effingham 169, Cumberland 169 and Teutopolis 187. Okaw Valley did not have enough for a team score.

Shelbyville's Will Bendler took first in 11:54.31. St. Anthony/Sacred Heart's Kevin Canales-Gonzalez was eighth in 12:54.52 and Conlan Walsh took 10th in 13:04.33.
