Junior Cross Country Results -- Oct. 4

Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School picked up a boys victory while Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City took the girls cross country meet first place Tuesday.

The Bullpups won the boys meet with 15 points followed by Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City 40. Okaw Valley runners competed but did not have enough for a team score.

Brian Dust captured first place in 11:13.02. The Bullpups took the top seven spots.

In the girls meet, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City won with 23 points followed by St. Anthony 33 and Okaw Valley 69.

CHBC's Carsen Burks won with a time of 14:39.75. CHBC took the next two spots before St. Anthony's Anna Faber finished fourth in 15:00.19.
