Raptors Cruise To Win, NBA Roundup

(Toronto, Ontario) -- The Raptors outscored the Hawks by 20 points in the second half to cruise to a 104-83 win at the Air Canada Centre. DeMar DeRozan dropped 31 points and grabbed five rebounds, while Kyle Lowry posted 16 points with 13 assists and six rebounds. Toronto heads into the All-Star break with a 28-24 record. Gustavo Ayon posted a double-double with 18 points and 10 rebounds. Paul Millsap contributed 17 points, six boards and four helpers for Atlanta, which has lost five in-a-row to fall to 25-26.

Mavericks Hand Pacers Third Home Loss

(Indianapolis, IN) -- The Mavericks outscored the Pacers 21-11 in the fourth quarter en route to an 81-73 win at Bankers Life Fieldhouse. Monta Ellis scored 11 of his 23 points in the fourth quarter and also had nine rebounds and six assists for Dallas, which has won six-of-seven and enters the All-Star break in the Western Conference playoff picture at 32-22. Dirk Nowitzki added 18 points and six boards in the victory. George Hill netted 14 points and Lance Stephenson added 13 points and 10 boards for the Pacers, who fell to 25-3 at home. Indiana enters the break atop the Eastern Conference at 40-12. David West and Paul George had 12 points apiece in the setback.

Grizzlies Outlast Magic

(Orlando, FL) -- Zach Randolph's 20 points led the Grizzlies to an 86-81 win over the Magic at the Amway Center. Courtney Lee added 17 points and Nick Calathes had 12 points, six assists and five rebounds for Memphis. The Grizzlies enter the All-Star break with three wins in their last four games and a 29-23 record. Four Magic players scored in double figures led by Nikola Vucevic's 13 points and 10 rebounds. Tobias Harris donated 13 points. Orlando had won its last three games but goes into the break at 16-38.

Cavaliers Clip Pistons In Motown

(Auburn Hills, MI) -- Tristan Thompson totaled 25 points and 15 rebounds as the Cavaliers clipped the Pistons 93-89 at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Kyrie Irving added 23 points for Cleveland, which has won a season-high four straight on the heels of a six-game losing streak. The Cavs enter the All-Star break at 20-and-33 and sit three games out of the final playoff spot in the Eastern Conference. Andre Drummond recorded 16 points and 17 rebounds to pace the Pistons, who had won their previous three. Detroit enters the break at 22-30, a half-game behind Charlotte for the eighth-seed in the East. Josh Smith posted 18 points and 10 boards in defeat.

Kings Hang Bad Loss On Knicks In OT

(New York, NY) -- The Sacramento Kings lost star DeMarcus Cousins to a strained hip flexor late in Wednesday's game but managed to get by the Knicks in overtime, 106-101 at Madison Square Garden. Jimmer Fredette dropped in a career high 24 points and Rudy Gay and Isaiah Thomas scored 20 points each. Cousins left the game with 19 points and 14 boards in 33 minutes. Carmelo Anthony led New York with 36 points and 11 rebounds in defeat. Tyson Chandler added 17 points and 11 rebounds and Amar'e Stoudemire scored 20 points. Sacramento snapped a three-game losing streak while the Knicks go into the break having lost five of their last six.

Big Fourth Quarter Too Much For Celtics

(Boston, MA) -- Tim Duncan scored 25 points to go with nine rebounds as San Antonio got by Boston 104-92 at TD Garden. Marco Belinelli added 16 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists in the win. Boris Diaw chipped in with 18 points for the Spurs, who enter the All-Star break at 38-15 with the second-best record in the Western Conference.  The Celtics got 15 points and 10 rebounds from Kelly Olynyk, and Kris Humphries added 15 points and six boards off the bench. Rajon Rondo scored 16 points for Boston, which is 19-and-35 at the break.

Nets Top Bobcats

(Brooklyn, NY) -- Paul Pierce posted 25 points on 9-of-11 shooting to help the Nets smack the Bobcats, 105-89, at the Barclays Center. Brooklyn held the red-hot Al Jefferson to 12 points as he missed 8-of-13 attempts. Deron Williams added 13 points and seven assists for Brooklyn, which heads into the All-Star break after its matchup with the Bulls on Thursday night. The Nets are two games under .500 at 24-26. Kemba Walker paced Charlotte with 16 points, while Josh McRoberts added 13. Charlotte is 23-30 and is off until February 18th against the Pistons.

T'wolves Trounce Nuggets

(Minneapolis, MN) -- Kevin Love just missed a triple-double with 32 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists as the Timberwolves trounced the Nuggets 117-90 at the Target Center. Corey Brewer scored 22 points and J.J. Barea added 18 off the bench for the T'wolves, who snapped a four-game losing streak and enter the All-Star break at 25-28. Ricky Rubio recorded 11 points, 12 assists and seven steals in the victory. J.J. Hickson posted 14 points and 13 boards to pace Denver, which fell to 24-27 with its fourth straight loss. Jordan Hamilton had a team-best 16 points off the pine in the setback.

Rockets Sink Wizards Late

(Houston, TX) -- James Harden connected on a layup with less than a second left to give the Rockets a 113-112 win over the Wizards at the Toyota Center.  Kevin Seraphin missed a fadeaway jumper as time expired to clinch the victory for Houston. Harden finished with 35 points, six rebounds and six assists, while Dwight Howard posted 24 points and 16 rebounds.  The Rockets go into the All-Star break on a seven-game winning streak. Trevor Ariza went off for a team-high 32 points and 11 rebounds in the loss. Bradley Beal added 20 points and five assists in defeat. Washington fell to 25-27 despite knocking down 16 of its 32 shots from behind the arc.

Pelicans Sneak Past Bucks

(Milwaukee, WI) -- Eric Gordon tallied 21 points and six assists as the Pelicans snuck past the Bucks, 102-98, at the Bradley Center. New Orleans shot 52-percent from the field and scored 60 points in the paint. The Pelicans head into the All-Star break at 23-29. Brandon Knight posted a game-high 22 points and nine assists in the loss. Gary Neal chipped in 18 points off the bench. Milwaukee is an NBA-worst 9-43.

Jazz Stop Sixers

(Salt Lake City, UT) -- Alec Burks scored 26 points to lead the Jazz to a 105-100 win over the 76ers at EnergySolutions Arena. Burks made 13 of 14 free throws in the win.  Marvin Williams added 13 points and 14 rebounds and Gordon Hayward finished with 17 points though he made only 3 of 17 shots. The Jazz goes into the All-Star break with three straight wins and a 19-and-33 record. Five Sixers scored in double figures led by the 21 points from Evan Turner and 16 points and 11 rebounds from Spencer Hawes. The break might come at a good time for Philly, which has lost eight-in-a-row.

Clippers Upend Blazers

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Blake Griffin's 36 points and 20 points and 12 assists from Chris Paul led the Clippers to a 122-117 win over the Blazers at STAPLES Center. Jamal Crawford added 25 points in a game that see-sawed back and forth until the final minute. LaMarcus Aldridge led Portland with 25 points and Damian Lillard added 21. L.A. goes into the All-Star break with three straight wins and is 37-18. The Blazers have lost six of their last nine games and are 36-17.

James, Heat Sink Warriors

(Oakland, CA) -- LeBron James hit a fadeaway three-pointer with under half a second to play as the Heat nipped the Warriors 111-110 in Oakland. Steph Curry had just put the Warriors ahead two points with a layup and the and-one on the previous possession. James ended with 36 points, 13 rebounds and nine assists for Miami, which has won five of its last six heading into the All-Star break.  Chris Bosh added 19 points and five boards while Michael Beasley tallied 16 points off the bench in the win. Curry finished with 29 points, seven assists and five rebounds for Golden State, which has alternated wins and losses the last six contests. David Lee turned in 21 points and 11 boards in the loss.

Top-Ranked Syracuse Edges Pitt At Buzzer

(Pittsburgh, PA) -- Freshman Tyler Ennis drained a three-pointer from 35-feet away at the buzzer as top-ranked Syracuse pulled out a 58-56 win over 23rd-ranked Pittsburgh at the Petersen Events Center.  C.J. Fair netted 14 points and Ennis ended with 13 for the Orange, who improved to 24-and-0 on the year and 11-and-0 in the ACC. Trevor Cooney chipped in with 11 points in the victory. Talib Zanna drained a pair of free throws with 4.4-seconds left that put Pitt up 56-55. Zanna had 16 points and 14 rebounds, while Lamar Patterson added 14 points for the Panthers, who fell to 20-5 and 8-4.

Bulls Battle Brooklyn

(Chicago, IL) -- The Chicago Bulls battle the Brooklyn Nets tonight from the United Center. Tip off on TNT is at 7 p.m. The Bulls are 26-25 after a win over Atlanta on Tuesday. The Nets are 24-26 overall following a victory against Charlotte last night. This is the final game for both sides before breaking for All-Star weekend.
