Lincoln Land Community College and Parkland Community College had their conference game delayed a day due to the weather and the extra day was good for the Loggers. Lincoln Land stormed out to an 11-0 run and pushed their lead to as high as 12 in the first half. The Loggers held strong in the first half and went in to the lockerroom with a 43-31 lead. However, the Cobras charged back into the game in the first 5:00 of the second half scoring 11 straight and cutting the lead all the down to 43-42.

From that point on the game remained tight. The Loggers relinquished the lead only once for two possessions and trailed by only one point. As the game wound down, Lincoln Land held possession of the ball, up one, with: 50 left but, were unable to score. The Cobras secured the rebound with: 18 left. After a few timeouts the Cobras held the ball underneath out of bounds with: 02.7 left. The Cobras missed two shots in that time frame and the Loggers held on to win 67-66 for their first conference win of the season.

Effingham High School graduates Josh and Jake Stombaugh, twin brothers, competed. Jake plays for Lincoln Land College while Josh plays for Parkland College.

Lincoln Land was led in scoring by Marcus Graham a game high 21 points, including shooting five of six from the three-point line. Garrett Williams put in 16 points in the first half and ended the game with that total. Nathen Tidwell led the Cobras with 20 points.

Lincoln Land improves to 10-12 (MWAC 1-4) on the season. The Loggers continue the conference season on Saturday when conference leading John Wood Community College comes in to Cass Gymnasium.
