SEB, Altamont Pick up NTC Boys Victories

WINDSOR -- St. Elmo/Brownstown handed Windsor a 73-52 loss in National Trail Conference boys basketball competition Saturday.

SEB stepped out to a 19-6 opening quarter lead and never looked back. Levi Maxey and Malachi Maxey scored 20 points each for the winners. L. Maxey connected on four two-pointers and four three-pointers while M. Maxey had a two-pointer, five three-pointers and was three of four at the line. the Eagles finished with 11 trifectas in the game.

Also in double figures were Jacob Behrends with 11 and Cole Smithson and Landon Feezel scored 10 each.

Windsor was led by Cole with 18 points, Allen with 12 and Warner with 11.

SEB improves to 5-1 in the conference, 12-7 overall.

At Windsor

At Beecher City

Altamont claimed a National Trail Conference victory over Beecher City Saturday, 55-42. The score was knotted at 20-20 at halftime. Altamont then edged ahead in the third quarter with a 14-12 score and then put the game away in the final period with a 21-10 run.

Ziegler tallied 15 for the winners. Austin Rexroad led the Eagles with 12 points while Andrew Lagehausen had 10 points and seven rebounds.

Cowden-Herrick traveled to Centralia Christ Our Rock Lutheran and fell to the host squad 70-61 in non-conference action Saturday.

Christ Our Rock took an 18-10 openig quarter lead and led 37-22 at halftime. Christ Our Rock Lutheran had three players in double figures led by Hine with 21. Boehne chipped in with 15 and Bowen added 13.

Cowden-Herrick was led by Barnes with 24 and Burrus with 17.

At Centralia
