St. Joe-Ogden posted a 57-51 win over the Teutopolis Wooden Shoes Friday night.

The game was close throughout.  St. Joe-Ogden led 9-8 after one quarter and 22-21 at halftime.  A 17-9 spurt in the third quarter put St. Joe-Ogden ahead 39-30 after three quarters, but the Wooden Shoes put on a run in the fourth quarter and got to within two before St. Joe-Ogden got some opprtunities at the foul line in the last seconds to win by six.

Brett Mette led Teutopolis with 17 points and Brock Mette got extended playing time and responded with 13 points as the Shoes try to fill the gap caused by Cody Will's injury at last Saturday's St. Anthony Shootout.

Also for Teutopolis: Bobby Wenthe eight, Justin Kenter five, and Michael Drees and Reed Hardiek four each.

The Wooden Shoes slip to 10-5 on the season as they now get ready for action Wednesday at the Nashville Invitational Tournament.

St. Joe-Ogden won the JV game 51-33.  The Shoes JV squad is now 5-2 on the season.
