Wizards Turn Down Bulls

(Chicago, IL) -- John Wall had 19 points and seven assists with five rebounds and four steals to lead the Wizards in a 102-88 win over the Bulls from Chicago's United Center. Nene also scored 19 points for Washington while Trevor Ariza posted 16 points and nine boards. The Wiz ended a two-game skid to win their third in five games. Carlos Boozer led Chicago with 19 points and seven rebounds while Joakim Noah hauled in 16 rebounds with eight points. Jimmy Butler and Tony Snell had 12 points each for the Bulls, who saw a five-game win streak come to an end.


Rose Off Crutches, Can Travel Soon

(Chicago, IL) -- Derrick Rose's recovery has progressed to the point where he no longer needs crutches. The Bulls guard continues to recover from a torn medial meniscus in his right knee. Coach Tom Thibodeau says Rose will likely start traveling with the team in the next couple weeks.


Raptors Romp Bucks

(Toronto, Ontario) -- Kyle Lowry scored 23 points with five assists and four steals to lead the Raptors to a 116-94 crushing of the Bucks at the Air Canada Centre. Patrick Patterson chipped in 18 points off the bench, while Jonas Valanciunas tallied a double-double with 17 points and 10 rebounds. Toronto has won three in-a-row to improve to 19-17. Ersan Ilyasova dropped a game-high 29 points with nine boards in the loss. Brandon Knight added 16 points, four helpers and four rebounds for Milwaukee, which lost its sixth straight.


Rockets Blast Past Celtics

(Boston, MA) -- Dwight Howard went off for 32 points with 11 rebounds as the Rockets downed the Celtics 104-92 at the TD Garden. Jeremy Lin added 16 points with nine assists while James Harden netted 16 points and hauled in seven rebounds. Terrence Jones posted a double-double with 12 points and 12 boards for Houston, which has won four of its last five. Avery Bradley led the C's with 24 points while Brandon Bass chipped in 14 points with seven rebounds off the bench. Boston saw its losing streak reach nine games.


Knicks Sneak By Suns

(New York, NY) -- It took an extra five minutes, but the Knicks held off the Suns, 98-96, at Madison Square Garden behind 29 points, 16 rebounds and four assists from Carmelo Anthony. Raymond Felton added 19 points with one assist for New York, which won its fifth straight game and pulled into the eighth-seed in the Eastern Conference. Goran Dragic carried Phoenix with 28 points, eight boards and four assists. Gerald Green and Channing Frye combined to shoot 5-of-28 from the field, including 2-of-14 from three. The Suns went 1-4 on their five-game road trip.


Spurs Clip Pelicans

(New Orleans, LA) -- Tony Parker toasted the Pelicans for 27 points and seven assists as the Spurs pulled out a 101-95 victory at New Orleans Arena.  Tim Duncan added 18 points and nine rebounds for San Antonio, which won its fifth straight game to become the first team to hit the 30-win mark this season.  Anthony David scored a team-high 22 points with 11 rebounds, three steals and two blocks in the loss. Brian Roberts hit three of five from deep on his way to 19 points. New Orleans tailspin continues as they have dropped six in-a-row.


Mavs Maul Magic

(Dallas, TX) -- Monta Ellis led six players in double figures with 21 points as the Mavericks mauled the Magic 107-88 at American Airlines Center. Vince Carter scored 17 points, Dirk Nowitzki netted 15 and Jae Crowder chipped in with 14 for the Mavs, who have won three in-a-row. Jose Calderon added 13 points and Wayne Ellington had 12 in the victory. Jameer Nelson posted 21 points and seven assists in Orlando's eighth straight loss. Glen Davis recorded 19 points and eight rebounds in defeat.


Jazz Slow Down Nuggets

(Salt Lake City, UT) -- Alec Burks scored a career-high 34 points as the Jazz cruised to a 118-103 win over the Nuggets at EnergySolutions Arena. Derrick Favors racked up 19 points and 15 rebounds for the Jazz, who have won four of their last six. Trey Burke posted 18 points and eight assists, while Richard Jefferson chipped in with 16 points in the victory. Ty Lawson recorded 23 points and 11 assists to lead Denver, which had its five-game winning streak snapped. J.J. Hickson had 21 points and 10 boards in defeat.
