Grizzlies Pound Pistons In Motown

(Auburn Hills, MI) -- Jon Leuer scored a game-high 23 points to go with eight rebounds as the Grizzlies pounded the Pistons 112-84 at The Palace of Auburn Hills. Ed Davis posted 17 points and 11 boards, while Zach Randolph racked up 16 points and as many rebounds for Memphis, which has alternated wins and losses over its last seven games. Tayshaun Prince and Mike Conley added 15 points apiece in the lopsided victory. Andre Drummond notched 15 points and 14 boards for the Pistons, who have dropped four in-a-row. Greg Monroe had 19 points and eight rebounds in the setback.


Warriors Stomp Wizards

(Washington, DC) -- Klay Thompson connected on six from behind the arc on his way to 26 points as the Warriors dumped the Wizards, 112-96, at the Verizon Center. Stephen Curry struggled from the field shooting 5-of-17, but contributed with 10 assists and 14 points  David Lee added 21 points, 11 boards and six helpers for Golden State, which have won nine straight. John Wall and Nene Hilario paced Washington with 14 points apiece.  Wall and Bradley Beal combined to miss 18 of their 26 shots. The Wizards have lost three in-a-row.


Pacers Shut Down Cavaliers

(Cleveland, OH) -- Paul George posted 16 points with six assists and five rebounds to lead the Pacers in an 82-78 win over the Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena. Roy Hibbert added 15 points and six boards while David West had 11 points with seven caroms in the win. Indiana has won six out of seven to move to 27-6. C.J. Miles had a game-high 21 points with six rebounds for Cleveland. Tristan Thompson netted 13 points with 10 boards while Dion Waters contributed 14 points and five assists off the bench in the loss. The Cavs have lost eight out of nine to fall to 11-and-23.


Thunder Topple Celtics

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Reggie Jackson totaled 27 points to guide the Thunder to a 119-96 thrashing of the Celtics in Oklahoma City. Kevin Durant added 21 points, eight assists and seven rebounds for OKC, which has won five of the last seven games. Serge Ibaka chipped in with 17 points and 11 boards in the win. Jeff Green and Avery Bradley both had 19 points to lead Boston, which has lost four in-a-row and seven-of-eight overall. Jordan Crawford turned in 17 points and seven assists in the loss.


Knicks Take Care Of Mavs

(Dallas, TX)  --  The Knicks had a successful trip through the state of Texas picking up a 92-80 victory over the Mavericks behind 19 points, seven rebounds and five assists.  New York took two of three against Dallas, Houston and San Antonio.  Iman Shumpert scored seven of his nine points in the final minute and forty seconds to lift the Knicks to 11-and-22.  Tyson Chandler only played four minutes because of an upper respiratory infection.  Dirk Nowitzki [[ nuh-VIT-skee ]] paced the Mavs with 18 points and nine rebounds.  Monta [[ MON-tay ]] Ellis added 13 points for Dallas, which has lost two in-a-row.


Nuggets Crush Lakers

(Los Angeles, CA)  --  The Nuggets used a 44-point fourth quarter to clinch a 137-115 win over the Lakers at the STAPLES Center.  Seven Denver players scored in double-figures led by Nate Robinson with 21 points off the bench.  Timofey Mozgov and Ty Lawson each added 20 for the Nuggets, who won their second straight.  Kendall Marshall had a career-high 17 assists along with nine points and six rebounds in the loss.  Pau Gasol posted 25 points, 10 boards and five assists for LA, which has lost seven of eight.

 

Miami Downs Raptors

The Miami Heat mounted a fourth quarter comeback to defeat the Toronto Raptors 102-97 Sunday evening at AmericanAirlines Arena. The HEAT defense allowed only one field goal in the first seven minutes of the fourth quarter to help make their run. LeBron James scored a game-high 30 points. Bulls Meet Suns Tuesday

(Chicago, IL) -- The Bulls play host to the Phoenix Suns Tuesday night at the United Center. Chicago notched a 91-84 win over the Hawks Saturday night to improve to 14-18 on the year. The Suns come in after a win over Milwaukee Saturday. Phoenix is 20-12 this season.
