Bulls Dump Celtics

(Chicago, IL) -- Joakim Noah fell short of a triple-double by one assist as the Bulls sunk the Celtics, 94-82, at the United Center. Noah posted 17 points, 11 rebounds and nine assists for Chicago, which has won four out of six. Carlos Boozer chipped in 16 points and seven boards in the victory. Boston guard Jordan Crawford hit 7-of-11 shots on his way to 22 points and seven assists. Jared Sullinger and Jeff Green each had 11 for the Celtics, who have lost five of their last six.


Cavs Sink Magic In OT

(Cleveland, OH) -- The Cavaliers were able to beat the Magic, 87-81, in overtime without Kyrie Irving at Quicken Loans Arena behind 18 points and 25 rebounds from Anderson Varejao. Cleveland held Orland to two points in the five-minute OT. Dion Waiters posted 17 points off the bench, while Tristan Thompson added 16 points and 10 boards. The Cavs ended a six-game losing streak. Glen Davis tallied 16 points and 13 rebounds in the loss. The Magic shot 38-percent from the field.  Jameer Nelson chipped in 14 points with nine helpers for Orlando, which is 2-5 in its last seven.


Warriors Douse Heat

(Miami, FL) -- Steph Curry exploded for 36 points and 12 assists as the Warriors whipped the Heat, 123-114, at the AmericanAirlines Arena. Curry hit 8-of-15 from deep and also had four steals.  David Lee posted 32 points and 14 rebounds for Golden State, which won its seventh straight game. The Warriors shot 56-percent as a team including 15-of-29 three pointers. LeBron James led Miami with 26 points, five rebounds and five assists, but turned the ball over eight times. Dwyane Wade tallied 22 points, five assists, four boards and three steals, while Chris Bosh put up 19 points. The Heat's two-game winning streak came to an end.


Johnson, Nets Knock Off Thunder

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Joe Johnson hit a jumper as time expired to lift the Nets over the Thunder 95-93 in Oklahoma City. He finished 4-of-11 from the field for nine points. Deron Williams had 29 points to pace Brooklyn, which has split the last four games to go to 11-21 overall. Paul Pierce chipped in with 18 points despite shooting 6-of-18 from the floor. Kevin Durant had 24 points to lead OKC, which has lost two straight to slip to 25-7.  Serge Ibaka turned in 10 points and 11 rebounds in the setback.


Knicks Shock Spurs

(San Antonio, TX) -- Iman Shumpert broke out of a season long slump scoring 27 points on 10-of-13 shooting to help the Knicks surprise the Spurs, 105-101, at the AT&T Center. Shumpert knocked down six shots from behind the arc. Carmelo Anthony returned from a three game absence to tally 27 points, 12 boards and four assists. "Melo" had been out with a sprained ankle.  New York ended a three-game losing streak. Marco Belinelli matched Shumpert's six threes on his way to a game-high 32 points in the loss. The only other Spurs in double figures were Tony Parker with 12 and Manu Ginobili with 11. San Antonio had won its three previous games.


Blazers Blast Bobcats

(Portland, OR) -- Wesley Matthews and Damian Lillard combined for 49 points as the Trail Blazers blasted the Bobcats 134-104 at the Moda Center. LaMarcus Aldridge added 10 points and 15 rebounds for the Blazers, who have won two in-a-row and four of their last six overall. Mo Williams had 15 points and 10 assists off the bench in the victory.  Chris Douglas-Roberts netted 20 points off the pine to pace Charlotte, which has lost a season-high five straight. Al Jefferson tallied 19 points and Gerald Henderson had 16 in defeat.


Suns Fall To Grizzlies

(Phoenix, AZ) -- For the second time this season the Grizzlies were able to take care of the Suns, 99-91, at the US Airways Center. Memphis won the first meeting on December 3rd. Zach Randolph and Ed Davis each had double-doubles. "Z-Bo" ended with 20 points and 15 rebounds and Davis with 17 and 11 respectively. After a big rally by Phoenix in the third, the Grizz outscored the Suns by 12 in fourth to pull within three games of .500. Goran Dragic posted a game-high 33 points with seven assists in the loss. Eric Bledsoe missed the game with a knee injury that isn't expected to be serious.  Channing Frye chipped in with 14 points for Phoenix, which had won its previous two games.


Sixers Sink Kings

(Sacramento, CA) -- Thaddeus Young totaled 28 points, seven rebounds and six steals to carry the 76ers to a 113-104 win over the Kings at Sleep Train Arena. Evan Turner tallied 24 points, 10 boards and six assists for Philadelphia, which has won three straight. Tony Wroten helped out with 21 points off the bench in the win. DeMarcus Cousins tallied 33 points and 14 caroms for Sacramento, which has alternated wins and losses over the last six games. Isaiah Thomas added 23 points and seven assists while Rudy Gay scored 18 points and seven rebounds in the loss.


Jazz Best Bucks

(Salt Lake City, UT) -- Derrick Favors racked up 21 points, 11 rebounds and four steals to lead the Jazz past the Bucks 96-87 at EnergySolutions Arena.  Gordon Hayward scored a game-high 22 points and Alec Burks added 13 off the bench for the Jazz, who have won two in-a-row and four of their last six. Trey Burke had 11 points, five boards and four assists in the victory. Larry Sanders recorded 16 points and eight boards to pace Milwaukee, which has dropped four-of-five. Luke Ridnour chipped in with 12 points and eight helpers in defeat.
