Rockets Romp Bulls

(Houston, TX) -- Dwight Howard posted 23 points with nine rebounds to help the Rockets cruise past the Bulls, 109-94, at the Toyota Center. James Harden and Chandler Parsons each added 19 points as Houston improved to 17-9. Jimmy Butler contributed 20 points in the loss. Luol Deng chipped in with 18 points, five rebounds and four assists, while Carlos Boozer tallied 17 points and six boards. Chicago has lost three in-a-row and six-of-seven to fall to 9-15 on the year.


Heat Rally By Pacers

(Miami, FL) -- Ray Allen broke a 92-all tie with a three-pointer with under a minute to play and sealed the Heat's 97-94 home victory over the Pacers with a pair of late free throws. The Heat trailed by double-digits for most of the middle part of the game but a late, third-quarter surge help them win their third straight and improve to 19-6. Dwyane Wade posted a game-high 32 points for Miami. LeBron James added 24 points, nine rebounds and seven assists in the win.  Paul George tallied 25 points, eight boards and six assists for Indiana, which has lost two straight for the first time this season. David West had 23 points in the setback. The Pacers are still the best in the East at 20-5.


Burke, Jazz Blow By Magic

(Orlando, FL) -- Trey Burke had the best night of his rookie season leading the Jazz to an 86-82 victory at the Amway Center. Burke went off for 30 points, eight assists and seven rebounds.  Gordon Hayward chipped in 15 points, seven assists and six boards as Utah ended a two-game losing streak. Jameer Nelson had a team-high 17 points with five rebounds and four assists in the loss. Orlando shot 33-percent from the field on its way to its third loss in the last four games. Tobias Harris and Nikola Vucevic each had double-doubles.


Walker Lifts Bobcats Past Raptors In OT

(Toronto, Ontario) -- Kemba Walker nailed a game-winning jumper at the buzzer to lift the Bobcats past the Raptors 104-102 in overtime at the Air Canada Centre. Walker ended with 29 points, while Al Jefferson added 24 points and 11 rebounds for Charlotte, which has won two in-a-row after a three-game skid.  Josh McRoberts chipped in with 13 points, seven boards and seven assists in the victory. DeMar DeRozan dropped in a game-high 30 points for the Raptors, who had won three-of-four coming in. Kyle Lowry had 17 points and Amir Johnson added 10 points and 13 boards in the setback.


Hawks Romp Kings

(Atlanta, GA) -- The Hawks outscored the Kings by 19 in the fourth quarter to pull out a 124-107 win at Philips Arena.  Kyle Korver knocked down eight threes on his way to 28 points, while Jeff Teague just missed out on a triple-double with 18 points, 15 assists and eight rebounds. Al Horford put up 25 points on 12-of-19 shooting with 10 boards, five assists and four blocks. Atlanta has won two in-a-row to jump to 14-12. DeMarcus Cousins paced Sacramento with 28 points, seven rebounds and six assists. Rudy Gay hit 8-of-13 attempts to tally 22 points, while Isaiah Thomas contributed 20 and 10 dimes. The Kings have lost four-of-five.


Wizards Nip Nets In Brooklyn

(Brooklyn, NY) -- John Wall led seven players in double-figures with 21 points as the Wizards nipped the Nets 113-107 at the Barclays Center. Nene netted 17 points off the bench, while Trevor Ariza and Bradley Beal both added 15 points for Washington, which has won two straight after a four-game losing streak.  Brook Lopez netted 22 points and Joe Johnson scored 20 for the Nets, who have dropped two-of-three. Deron Williams donated 15 points and 13 assists in defeat.


Knicks Sneak Past Bucks

(Milwaukee, WI) -- Tyson Chandler made his return from injury as the Knicks needed double overtime to get past Bucks, 107-101, at the Bradley Center.  Chandler played 37 minutes with nine points, nine rebounds and three blocks after missing the previous 20 games. Carmelo Anthony poured in 29 points, but needed 29 shots. J.R. Smith broke a Knicks record attempting 17 threes and hit five of them. New York is 5-4 in its last nine games. Giannis Antetokounmpo made his first career start, posting 10 points, seven rebounds, two assists and two steals in the loss. Brandon Knight collected a career-high 36 points with nine boards.  Milwaukee lost its fourth straight.


T'wolves Pound Blazers

(Minneapolis, MN) -- The Timberwolves jumped out to a 69-33 lead at halftime and held on for a 120-109 victory against the Trail Blazers at the Target Center. Kevin Love exploded for 29 points, 15 rebounds and nine assists, while Nikola Pekovic posted 30 points and nine rebounds. Minnesota has won four of six to get back to .500 through 26 games. Damian Lillard dropped 36 points with six assists and six rebounds in the loss  Lillard drained seven buckets from behind the arc, giving him 15 threes in the last two games. LaMarcus Aldridge was 7-of-22 from the field, but still had a double-double with 15 points and 14 rebounds. Portland had a five-game winning streak come to an end.


Mavs Cruise Past Grizzlies

(Dallas, TX) -- Dirk Nowitzki recorded 20 points, six rebounds and five assists as the Mavericks cruised past the Grizzlies 105-91 at American Airlines Center. Monta Ellis scored 18 points, while Vince Carter chipped in with 14 off the bench for the Mavs, who improved to 11-2 at home and 15-and-10 overall. Jose Calderon added 12 points and Shawn Marion had 10 points and seven boards in the victory. Tony Allen posted 16 points and 11 boards to lead Memphis, which suffered its fifth straight loss. Zach Randolph donated 14 points and nine boards in defeat.


Spurs Slow Down Suns

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Manu Ginobili racked up 24 points, seven assists and six rebounds as the Spurs slipped past the Suns 108-101 at US Airways Center. Tim Duncan dialed up 17 points and 14 boards for San Antonio, which has won five-of-six to improve to 20-5 on the year. Kawhi Leonard added 14 points and six boards in the victory. Tony Parker sat with a right shin contusion. Channing Frye scored 22 points and Goran Dragic added 18 for the Suns, who had their season-high five-game winning streak snapped. Eric Bledsoe recorded 15 points, seven helpers and five rebounds in defeat.


Pelicans Fall To Clippers In Davis' Return

(Los Angeles, CA) -- DeAndre's Jordan 14 points and 20 rebounds led the Clippers to an easy, 108-95, win over the Pelicans at the STAPLES Center. Chris Paul added 12 points and 11 assists, while Blake Griffin tallied 21 points, 10 boards and five assists. LA has won five of six to jump to 18-9. Anthony Davis came off the bench and put up 24 points and 12 rebounds in 32 minutes as he returned to the court. Davis had missed the last seven games with a broken hand. New Orleans shot just under 40-percent on its way to third straight loss.


Pistons Win

(Boston, MA)  --  The Pistons came back from a 21-point deficit to beat the Celtics 107-106 last night in Boston.  Brandon Jennings led Detroit with 28 points and 14 assists, Josh Smith added 20 and Greg Monroe had 12.  The Pistons, now 13-and-14 on the season, return to The Palace after their successful two-game road trip to tip off against the Charlotte Bobcats tomorrow night.
