Effingham St. Anthony Junior High School traveled to Olney and fell in both seventh and eighth grade girls basketball action Thursday evening.

The Bullpups lost the seventh-grade game 40-34 and dropped to 12-8 on the season. Meg Richards had a big game, scoring 18 points for St. Anthony.

In eighth-grade play, Olney was a 31-26 winner. The Bullpups drop to 3-17. Olivia Clausius tallied 11 for St. Anthony.

At Beecher City

Beecher City/Cowden-Herrick and Brownstown/St. Elmo split National Trail Conference victories Thursday evening.

BCCH downed Brownstown/St. Elmo 30-25 in seventh-grade play. Lauren Wojcik and Becca Morgason tallied eight points each for the winners.  Brownstown/St. Elmo was led by Wilhour, Reynolds and Feltner with six points each. BCCH improves to 4-2 in the conference, 11-7 overall.

In eighth-grade play, Brownstown/St. Elmo downed BCCH 41-13. BCCH drops to 0-6 in the conference, 3-14 overall. Dana Shelton and Viramontes tallied 12 each for the winners while Deana Shelton scored 11. Taylor Oldham led BCCH with six.

At Teutopolis

Teutopolis split with Sigel St. Michael in competition Tuesday. T-town was a 26-8 winner in seventh-grade play to improve to 16-2.

Olivia Niemerg scored in double figures with 10 for the winners.

In eighth-grade play, St. Michael captured a 31-28 win. Jolene Bueker scored 12 to lead the way. T-town was led by Macy Michels with 16. T-town drops to 9-9.

At  Altamont

Jasper County and Altamont split wins Tuesday evening.

Altamont was a 30-27 winner in the seventh-grade contest. Altamont stepped out to a 13-7 opening quarter and held off Jasper County for the win. J. Schultz led the winners with 12 points.

In eighth-grade play, Jasper County was a 32-26 winner. Abby Frohning tallied 20 points to lead the way. Stone led Altamont with 10.
