T'wolves Throttle Lakers

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Ricky Rubio posted a triple-double of 12 points, ten rebounds and 14 assists to lead the Timberwolves to a 113-90 beat down of the Lakers in Los Angeles. T'wolves head coach Rick Adelman says Rubio stole the show.

Kevin Love added 25 points with 13 rebounds as Minnesota moved to 5-2. Nikola Pekovic had 14 points and ten rebounds in the victory. Steve Blake led the Lakers with 19 points and eight assists while Pau Gasol poured in 11 points and 11 boards. Los Angeles dipped to 3-5 with the defeat.

 

Spurs Crush Knicks At MSG

(New York, NY) -- Danny Green racked up 24 points and 10 rebounds as the Spurs crushed the Knicks 120-89 at Madison Square Garden. Kawhi Leonard had 18 points off the bench, while Tony Parker posted 17 points and six assists for San Antonio, which improved to 6-1 with its fourth straight win. Tim Duncan added 11 points and 10 boards in the victory. Andrea Bargnani and Carmelo Anthony scored 16 points apiece for the Knicks, who fell to 2-4. Metta World Peace scored 13 points and Tim Hardaway Jr. had 11 in defeat.

 

Suns Ground Pelicans

(Phoenix, AZ) -- Eric Bledsoe scored 24 points with six assists to lead the Suns to a 101-94 win over the Pelicans last night. Markieff Morris added 23 points while Gerald Green poured in 15 as Phoenix moved to 5-2. The Suns play at Portland on Wednesday.

 

Thunder Storm Back, Top Wizards In OT

(Oklahoma City, OK) -- Kevin Durant scored 33 points with 13 rebounds and six assists to lead the Thunder back from an 11-point deficit to beat the Wizards 106-105 in overtime. Serge Ibaka added 25 points and 12 boards while Russell Westbrook netted 13 points before his ejection in the fourth quarter. Westbrook was tossed along with Washington's Nene after a scuffle following a foul. Nene ended with 14 points, seven rebounds and six assists for Washington, but Oklahoma City won its fourth straight to move to 5-1. Bradley Beal poured in a game-high 34 points for Washington while Trevor Ariza notched 15 points in defeat. The Wiz had won two straight, but fell to 2-and-4 with the loss.

 

Bulls Face Cavaliers Tonight

(Chicago, IL) -- The Bulls host the Cleveland Cavaliers tonight at the United Center.  Chicago notched a 97-73 victory over the Jazz at home on Friday night. The win moved the Bulls to 2-3 on the young season. Tonight's game tips at 7.
