Effingham captured two victories over St. Anthony in girls junior high basketball action Thursday evening.
Effingham won the seventh-grade contest 32-14. Fearday tallied 14 and Weis 11. St. Anthony was led by Kinkelaar with six. The Mustangs improve to 13-1.
In eighth-grade play, Effingham was a 26-6 winner. Ramos and Myers scored 11 points each for the Mustangs. Having led St. Anthony with four. Effingham is now 12-2.

Altamont picked up two victories over Beecher City-Cowden-Herrick in National Trail Conference action. Altamont won the seventh-grade game 42-19. Mayhaus tallied 14 and Schultz 11 for the winners.
BCCH was led by Amanda Smith with seven. BCCH drops to 3-2 in the conference, 9-6 overall.
In eighth-grade play, Altamont won 53-15, taking a 20-3 opening quarter lead. H. Wolff tallied 16 and Hosick 10 for the winners. BCCH was led by Tabitha Endsley with four. BCCH drops to 0-5 in the conference, 2-12 overall.

In eighth-grade play, Stew-Stras/Windsor was a 26-11 winner. Everett scored 12 as Stew-Stras/Windsor improved to 2-13.

Jasper County split victories with Oblong. In seventh-grade action, Oblong was a 24-21 winner. Allison Harris and Mallory Bergbower had six points each for Jasper County.
In eighth-grade play, Jasper County won 42-20. Abby Frohning tallied 21 points while Mariah Earnest had 11.
