Warriors Hand Sixers First Loss

(Philadelphia, PA) -- Former 76ers guard Andre Iguodala took it to his former team with a 32-point performance as the Warriors handed Philadelphia its first loss, 110-90.  Iguodala hit 7-of-11 from behind the arc. Stephen Curry posted a triple-double of 18 points, 12 assists and 10 rebounds for Golden State, which moved to 3-1 on the season. David Lee also had 18 points along with seven boards in the victory.  Evan Turner and Michael Carter-Williams scored 18 points each for the Sixers, who fell to 3-1.

 

Cavs Thwart T'wolves

(Cleveland, OH) -- Kevin Love missed a three-pointer in the closing seconds as the Timberwolves' late rally came up short in a 93-92 loss to the Cavaliers at Quicken Loans Arena. Minnesota finished the game on a 17-2 run, but needed two more to avoid taking its first loss of the season.  C.J. Miles paced Cleveland with 19 points off the bench, while Kyrie Irving chipped in 15 points, eight rebounds and six assists. The Cavs evened up their record at 2-2. Kevin Martin continued his hot shooting from behind the arc, knocking down five three's on his way to 23 points.  Minnesota is 3-1.

 

Grizz Rally To Beat Celtics

(Memphis, TN) -- Jared Sullinger and Jeff Green each missed three pointers that would have tied the game in the final minute as the Celtics fell to the Grizzlies, 95-88, at the FedExForum. Memphis outscored Boston, 29-16, in the fourth quarter to pull out the win. Mike Conley, Zach Randolph and Jerryd Bayless each scored 15 points for the Grizz, who improved to 2-2. Jeff Green posted 22 points in the loss. Jared Sullinger added 16 points off the bench. Boston is winless in its first four games of the season.

 

Clippers Romp Rockets

(Los Angeles, CA) -- Chris Paul posted 23 points and 17 assists as the Clippers ran past the Rockets, 137-118, at STAPLES Center. J.J. Redick scored a game-high 26 points and Jamal Crawford added 21 points off the bench.  Los Angeles jumped out to a 17-point lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back. LA is 3-1. James Harden posted 15 points, but was 0-of-7 from three and sat the entire fourth quarter. Reserve Omri Casspi paced Houston with 19 points, nine boards and four assists. The Rockets took their first loss of the season to drop to 3-1.
