Altamont claimed two junior high school basketball victories over Effingham Sacred Heart in girls competition Tuesday evening.

Altamont was a winner in seventh-grade play 34-15. Mayhaus tallied 12 for the winners. Stork had eight points for the Shamrocks.

In eighth-grade action, Altamont won 35-21. Stone and Mayhaus scored 10 points each for the winners. Sacred Heart was led by Carie with seven.

At St. Anthony

Sigel St. Michael picked up two victories over Effingham St. Anthony. St. Michael was a 23-11 winner in seventh-grade play.

Flach taliled 11 and S. Bueker 10 for the winners. St. Anthony was led by Clare McHugh with four. The Bullpups are now 6-5 on the season.

In eighth-grade play, St. Michael won 32-18. Jansen scored 12 for the winners. Olivia Clausius had 11 for St. Anthony which drops to 1-8.

At Windsor

Stewardson-Strasburg/Windsor and Teutopolis B claimed victories. Stew-Stras/Windsor won the seventh-grade contest 24-5. Stew-Stras/Windsor led 14-2 at halftime and never looked back. Cole and Davis led the way with eight points each. Stew-Stras/Windsor improves to 9-2.

In eighth-grade action, T-town B claimed a 21-18 victory. Savannah Grimes and Savanna Gebben led the way with six points each. Schlechte and Everett led Stew-Stras Windsor with eight each. Stew-Stras/Windsor drops to 0-9.

T-town is back in action Saturday against Champaign Franklin at 10 a.m. and Decatur Robertson at 3 p.m.
