South Central was a winner in both seventh- and eighth-grade girls basketball contests Tuesday.

South Central defeated North Clay (Louisville), 23-13 in seventh-grade play. Jamalyn Logan led South Central with six points.

In the eighth-grade contest, South Central was a winner, 34-21. Kaitlyn Swift scored 15 points and Kimora Wilkins 12 for the winners.

At Kinmundy

Seventh-Grade Game

South Central 23, North Clay 13

South Central -- Logan 6, Conant 4, Montes 4, Feldhake 2, Rose 2, Green 2, Reid 1 (South Central players add up to 21 while 23 listed as final)

Eighth-Grade Game

South Central 34, North Clay 21

South Central -- Swift 15, Wilkins 12, Conant 3, Feldhake 2, Weems 2

 

At Brownstown

Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Brownstown/St. Elmo split wins Tuesday.

BSE was the winner in seventh-grade play, 22-14. BSE led 10-8 at halftime then had a 12-6 second half. Williams and Miller led the winners with six points each.

CHBC was led by Madison Dawson with six.

In eighth-grade play, CHBC took the victory, 27-15 with a 12-0 opening quarter run.

Macee Rodman scored 10 points for the winners. BSE was led by Yagow with six.
