Charlotte Hornets rookie Lamelo Ball has a broken right wrist and is expected to miss the rest of the season, according to media reports Sunday.

Ball appeared to have hurt himself during a fall in the Hornets’ 125-98 loss to the Los Angeles Clippers Saturday. The 19-year-old, who was the third overall pick in the NBA draft, was in the middle of a great first season, and was a leading candidate for NBA Rookie of the Year.

Rockets Lost Record 20th Game

The Houston Rockets lost a team-record 20th straight game Sunday, falling to the Oklahoma City Thunder 114-112.

Houston has now tied for the ninth-worst losing streak in NBA history, and the longest since the Philadelphia 76ers’ record-setting 28-game losing streak that began in the 2014-15 season and went into the 2015-16 season.
