NBA Aims To Begin Playoffs August 18

Once its coronavirus-suspended season resumes, the NBA is aiming to begin its playoffs on August 18, with September 30 as the first day of the NBA Finals, according to a report by ‘The Athletic.’

The league’s Board of Governors approved a plan last week to resume the season on July 31 with a 22-team format under which teams will play an eight-game slate of games that will help determine playoff seeding. 

 

Spurs' Aldridge Out For Season

San Antonio Spurs star Lamarcus Aldridge will be out for the rest of the NBA’s season, whenever it resumes, after having shoulder surgery. The Spurs said Monday he had the surgery in late April. Aldridge was injured in a February game.
